About KCCC

KCCC exhibits the First Century Church Values

The first century church was a communal orientated community that was very dedicated to the teaching of the word, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. It was this norm that kept the church strong spiritually, socially, and economically throughout its formation. Research shows that the first century church was a powerful force of a group of people that was determined to carry out the Great Commission of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

About Us and Our Beliefs

What does Cowboy Church believe? We believe the Bible is the word of God.  We believe in one God who exists in three persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died to save men from their sins.  We believe that men are saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ.  We believe that baptism is the means by which people are to publicly profess  their faith in Christ and identify themselves with His death, burial, and resurrection. For more about our beliefs concerning baptism talk to the pastor. about what you, your expertise and experience.  Think about what you would want to see on this page if you were looking at an about page.  This is your chance to tell about how you are qualified to serve them.

What denomination is Cowboy Church? Although Cowboy Church is affiliated with the SBTC and we affirm the Baptist Faith and message, we function as an interdenominational fellowship gladly welcoming anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and accepts the basic teachings of Christianity into its membership. Baptism is not part of salvation and does not save you, but is only an act of obedience in following in Christ’s footsteps.

Do I have to be a cowboy to attend Cowboy Church? Absolutely not! Although many cowboys, cowgirls, and other horse enthusiasts attend Cowboy Church, our members come from every background and walk of life. Jeans and boots or ties and suits, we welcome you.  If you would rather wear jeans than dress up, if you enjoy country or blue grass gospel music, if you like rubbing elbows with non-judgmental, down-to-earth people, and if you want clear simple sermons you can actually understand, you will love Cowboy Church.

What happens at a Cowboy Church worship service? A typical Cowboy Church worship service consists of singing country praise songs, country style, performances by the Cowboy Church band, a time of special music and testimony provided by a soloist or guest band, and the preaching of the Word of God. In addition, it is not unusual to have baptisms after a service in a horse trough. The entire service generally is one hour.

What time are the services?
Sunday Slack-time 9:30 am (coffee and donuts)
Bible Study 9:30-10:00 & Worship 10:30- 11:45

Wednesday 7:00- 8:00

How should I dress at Cowboy Church? The majority of people at Cowboy Church will wear boots and jeans, many will wear hats or caps, some will wear shorts, and a few will wear suits or dresses. All of these are appropriate. The bottom line: wear whatever is comfortable to you. There is no pretense here. The person in shorts and a ball cap is as welcome as the one in a suit, and the really neat thing is, no one will notice the difference. At Cowboy Church we make ourselves at home with God and each other.

What are the business hours of the Cowboy Church office?
You can reach the cowboy Pastor anytime 24/7 (210) 669-7819

How is Cowboy Church organized and how does it conduct business? At Cowboy Church, we believe that those who get their hands dirty should also be the ones making the decisions. Toward that end, Cowboy Church is organized around a multitude of ministry teams. We have a constitution and by-laws.

How Can I become a member of Cowboy Church? There are three ways to become a member of Cowboy Church:
By statement of faith. This means that you have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, but are unable to acquire a letter of church membership from another church. In this case, we will simply accept your word that you are a baptized believer and add you to our membership.
By letter. This means that you have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, and are a member of another church. In such a case, you may request that Cowboy Church write to your previous church and request that they transfer your church membership to us.
By baptism. This means that you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior.

How do I express my desire to become a member of Cowboy Church?
At Cowboy Church, we do not require people to walk down in front of the church to request membership.  You may, if you wish, or just speak to the pastor after service about membership in cowboy church.  An invitation to proclaim Jesus as Christ and Savior is extended every Sunday.
